Good interior painting starts before the first can opens. A little preparation helps the crew work efficiently and helps protect the home.
Move fragile items, wall decor, small electronics, valuables, and personal belongings out of the work areas. Clear counters, shelves, and window sills when they are near painted surfaces.
If you have pets, plan a quiet area away from the work. If you work from home, talk through the order of rooms so the project does not collide with important calls.
Your painting crew should handle floor protection, furniture covering, masking, patching, sanding, and priming as part of the project scope.
